• Name, mobile number and email address when you register

• GSTIN (optional — only if you request GST invoices)
• Search queries and product browsing history on the platform
• Inquiry details — products you inquire about and quantities
• Shipping address when you place an order

For Sellers / Suppliers

• Business name, owner name, mobile and email
• GSTIN and PAN (required for verification)
• Business address and factory/warehouse location
• Product catalog information — names, prices, images, MOQ
• Bank account details (only for subscription billing)
• WhatsApp number for inquiry routing

Automatically Collected

• IP address and device type
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent on the platform
• Referring URL

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Connect buyers with verified suppliers and facilitate trade inquiries
• Send buyer inquiries to the relevant supplier’s WhatsApp or email
• Verify supplier identity (GST, PAN, address verification)
• Generate GST invoices when requested
• Send you relevant product recommendations and supplier updates
• Process subscription payments for seller plans
• Improve platform features and user experience
• Send transactional communications — order confirmations, inquiry receipts
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

3. Sharing Information With Suppliers & Buyers

When you submit an inquiry or RFQ, your contact information (name, mobile number, business name and city) is shared with the relevant supplier so they can respond to your inquiry.

Suppliers’ business information — company name, city, GSTIN (verified status only), product catalog and WhatsApp number — is displayed on their public storefront pages and shared with buyers who inquire.

4. WhatsApp Integration

MyGlobalPlace uses WhatsApp links (wa.me) to connect buyers with sellers. When you click a WhatsApp button on our platform:

• Your browser opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message
• The supplier’s WhatsApp number is shared with you
• Your WhatsApp number becomes visible to the supplier once you send a message
• All subsequent communication happens on WhatsApp, governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy

We do not intercept, store or monitor any WhatsApp communications between buyers and sellers.

5. GST Number Usage

Your GSTIN is used solely for the following purposes:

• Verifying your business identity as a seller
• Generating GST-compliant invoices for your purchases
• Displaying “GST Verified” badge on seller profiles (GSTIN is not publicly displayed in full — only the verification status)

We verify your GSTIN against the Government of India’s GST portal (gst.gov.in). Your full GSTIN is never shared with third parties except when required for invoice generation between buyer and seller.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
• Encrypted storage for sensitive information like PAN and GSTIN
• Access controls — only authorised team members can access user data
• Regular security audits of our platform
• Two-factor authentication for admin accounts

7. Cookies

We use cookies to:

• Keep you logged in during your session
• Remember your search preferences and filters
• Track which products and suppliers you viewed (to show relevant recommendations)
• Analyse platform usage to improve features
• Process payments securely

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain platform features including staying logged in.

8. Your Rights

Under Indian data protection laws and our own policy, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format (CSV/JSON)
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

• Active accounts: As long as your account is active
• Deleted accounts: 90 days after deletion (for fraud prevention)
• GST invoices and transaction records: 7 years (as required by Indian tax law)
• Inquiry history: 2 years from the date of inquiry
• Analytics data: 24 months in aggregated, anonymised form

10. Children’s Privacy

MyGlobalPlace is a B2B platform intended for business use only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at privacy@myglobalplace.com and we will delete it promptly.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
• Send a notification to your registered email or mobile
• Display a banner on the platform for 30 days after the change

Continued use of MyGlobalPlace after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
